Who is Mia Hammond?
I'm a junior golfer who loves to compete. I started loving the game of golf at age 3, when my dad gave me my first set of clubs. He taught me how to swing on our home golf simulator. I started playing competitively at age 7; just two weeks after I played my first real round of golf. I've competed in over 90 tournaments, and I have won more than 60 of those tournaments in 10 different states. I've competed with other junior golfers from all over the world. Traveling to play golf is a lot of fun. I may be competitive, but my competitors are also my friends. The friends I've made on the golf course have become some of my closest companions. I enjoy spending time with them on and off the course. My dream is to play professional golf on the LPGA Tour after playing for a top college team.
